I run 87 Oct in mowers and also add Sea Foam every other week to keep the fuel system cleaned out. Cuts down on fuel related problems. I run 89 Oct in all 2cycle and also add Sea Foam. To date I have never had fuel system or carb problems in 5 years (when I started in the business). Hopes this helps.

Unless you are sunning some kind of supercharger or turbo on your equipment you do not need high octane gas. The higher the octane the quicker the burn which is why cars running powers adders use race fuel. They don't want the piston slappn the head!

    SAVE THE MONEY!

My dealer tells me to run high test because of the two stroke engines running as lean as they do. I sometimes will run 89 in them but most of the time they just get 87. So does the truck as well! Never had any problems... Knock on wood!!!!

Is a Toro proline a 2 stroke engine? or are you talking about trimmers and those little things.

FYI: Many toro proline 21" mowers are also 2 stroke but Toro no longer makes them...they were in production from about 1986 to 2004 then the EPA said they were too high on polution.

    Have a great day,
