Getting ready to march here shortly. Then up to Bushnell to visit a few friends who will never march again. Gone but never forgotten.

    Attention Transplanted Yankees:

I know I am going to catch a lot of flack on this post even though it is TRUE. I will admit things are changing because of more people relocating to the South.

Memorial Day is not observed in the Deep South because it is a YANKEE HOLIDAY FOR UNION DEAD OF THE CIVIL WAR. That right and many Local and state offices are working today.

Back when I was a kid in Florida Public schools, we went to school on Memorial Day.

Well your in luck, Memorial day is May 31st. Today is the 28th and we, at least me, honor all our fallen soldiers, North or South.:)

For all conflicts since the Civil War where this country was reunified. They really need to get some updated history books in this state. I should have brought it up to Gov Scott this morning since I was 20ft from him.

Sorry but in some areas of the South the Civil war is still being fought. Maybe not with Muskets and Cannons but it is still being argued. Segregation reform has slowed down the fighting but it is still a issue.
