How can you get vinca out of english ivy effectively????
I have used one method pretty effectively over the years. Because English Ivy was a nice waxy coating, it is not as susceptible to non-selective herbicides. What I have done is mixed a very light batch of round up, so instead of 2oz per gallon do a mix of .5 oz. per gallon and only spray where it is needed. Just a warning this will kill young light green ivy, but will have much less of an effect on the darker green, older ivy. Because the rate is significantly reduced, it will also take a little longer to kill the vinca. Hope this helps you.
Why would you want to? Vinca in bloom is much prettier than English ivy.
I'm with you...much prettier...but if thats what a customer wants...do it
