I read on here that some people rent out hoses and sprinklers for their seed/sod jobs to make sure they get watered. I think this is a fantastic idea. My Q is what type of sprinklers do you use? The osolating ones or impact? I found a wicked deal on some simple electronic timers that run twice a day for 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Just need to find some preferably cheap sprinklers.

I do this!! I use a Yard Camel.. it's a portable system, with timer, valves (all enclosed in a toolbox) and sprinkler heads.. you supply hose. covers a good sized area.. sometimes i use multiple units... costs about 300, but is paid for in one shot.

Impact sprinklers only. They get a high volume of water onto the area.

Would a half hour twice a day suffice or would an hour be better?
