    on a briggs & stratton 8.5 hp, model# 196702, type# 0142 01, code# 970411YE

could someone maybe tell me what needs to be disassembled & in what order, to get to where i need to replace a broken rope?
is this a very difficult task?

    i believe the part#(rope) is 58 693389.

the most convenient way to get to it seems to be riveted.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take off the whole blower housing.
Pull the rope out until the rope can't pull anymore.
Hold the tensioned spring/pulley and cut the knot on the back side of the pulley.
Pull out old rope and intall new rope through the "puller hole" and tie a knot in it.
Let the spring tension roll up the rope.
