I have an nsf check and I really couldn't care less except the bouncer only paid the amount of the check without any fees and said it was taken care of (and in a real technical slick way it is) and this one's been burning me for some time now.

And I can't report an NSF check (yes a bounced check) to equifax or any of the other credit reporting agencies because I don't have the volume OR the money to buy the required membership to do so (which again also requires 500+ accounts).

Now many years ago someone I know bounced a check with a local merchant and later found out it had been reported at the local County level (maybe it was state level, can't remember) and this did not affect them in a big or national way but SOME the businesses around keep a list of this and it did prevent this someone from writing a check here and there and I was wondering how one goes about it, does anyone know anything about this?
