i have a residential cub ztr 50 with a 22 hp kawasaki,it has about 200 hours on it,its doing good but i know this mower wont hold up to the abuse im giving it, my question is the other day i saw a commercial mower on ebay in good shape other than blown 22 hp kawisaki, are these moters interchangable or are they totally differant animals

The base engine is the same, Differences could be charging system/throttle controls and crankshaft output dimensions.

You'll need the model number off both engines.

    And, it's not a motor.

Revert back to my post, Those are the things that need to be compared between the two to determine swap-ability.....

thanks, i think ill pass on bidding on it because its 100 miles away and i cant compare side by side,it looks like 1500 for a new engine, and the toro is up to about 1400 now
