Need a solution. We have a customer that has natural springs comming out of a hillside. They have very old walls made of telephone poles which are caving in. We have a lot of experience in "Block Wall" retaining wall systems, but we have never encountered springs. The customer wants a solution that will last "forever" if there is a such thing. Does anyone have any knowledge on retaining walls with springs?

Find a geotechnical engineer. This might cost some big $$ to solve, hope they have it:)

I agree - this isn't something you can 'wing'. Call the engineer, see if you can find out what an analysis/recommendation might cost, add a % onto that, and get a retainer from the customer for that, explaining that's just the start, and there's many more $$ to follow...
