    PERMA-GREEN UPDATE:
The 2001 Ride-On incorporates the following changes:

1.) Larger hopper (no longer a Spiker) holds 150+ lbs.
~the calibration problem anthony mentioned? --Gone.

2.) Clutch: uses a new centrifugal clutch, electrically operated and uses no belt slack for clutching.
~the clutch ploblem I had? --Gone.

Handful of other changes including a better generator and misc. other improvements.

Net Result? Probably woth looking into if you have use of this type of machine and aren't into building one yourself.

    Jim Gaudioso,
The 8 gallon tank will do 64,000 square feet. That's what they claim -- that what it DOES. You use your normal herbicide. It doesn't spray Trimec PLUS (milky stuff) as well as your regular amines. If you use Ester, you will replace the rubber gromets in the spray nozzles more often (Change in 10 seconds w/o tools).

    anthony,
I don't know what their upgrade policy is.
We run a variety of their units including the older Cavalry model, the Ride-On, Mechanized walk-hehinds and the M60 spray kit adapted to our own Lesco hydrualic spreaders.

    KENT LAWN: two more questions--------
    1. do you find it a pain to have to adjust the pattern,or is it something you get used to....when i switch rounds i end up useing 150 lbs. to adjust the pattern....
    2. i got the rack from perm-a-green that goes on the reece hitch....is there a way i can install a lesco push spreader on the rack while transporting thr ride-on?

Yeah, it IS a pain to adjust the pattern. I don't do it myself, our technicians do that with kitty litter out back of our shop. Still fertilizer spreads differently than kitty litter and the techs each "tweak" their own unit.

Not sure about having a Lesco unit on the rack. We fabbed our own racks and the push spreader has a separate mount on the truck.
