What kinds of rock are available to us here in New England area for hardscaping applications? Blue stone, slate, etc.

Bluestone, slate, gray rounds, full colour rounds, there's lot s of options. Are you talking about native stone or just all available?

all available for a reasonable price. I guess you could get anything on earth but I mean stuff that is readily available.

Around here everything is available, do you have a local quarry or supply yard?

the list is too long to go through everything that is readily available. and reasonable price--for that you'll have to do some shopping around because prices do run the gambit.

Look up "Stone" in the Yellow pages, then go down and see what you like. River stone is popular here. A Stone center is gonna have lots to choose from.

Go to Stoneyard.com they are out of MA I believe and will deliver anywhere. They have the most comprehensive stone selection in the Northeast that I have seen.

Or another type of stone that has been has been popular since the late 1800's in New England and that is granite. If you like the antique granite look visit oldnewenglandgranite.com. They are reclaimers of granite bridge block, vintage cobblestones and curbing for steps.
