I thought I would ressurect this thread. Who knows, perhaps we have some new participants here who would like to introduce themselves? Don't be shy, the more we all know about you the more we all can listen, learn and appreciate.
Maybe even Pete S. will decide his life really isnt in danger and let us all know his business name and website.
Have a great day.
I wish Mike G. was still around as a role model for Pete. Mike posted great pics, website info, etc. And maybe Pete could inspire the Gambino PAR36.
Yes, I wish he were here too. We miss and love him but since he's not we must go on without him. I'm sure that I have more than filled the void he left. Who needs Mike when ya got Pete?
Mike G made his own fixtures, held himself and others to absolute highest standards, knew just about everything there is to know about landscape lighting. He refused to allow customers to compromise his integrity, his goal in every project was the best lighting effect. His threads and posts were informative, challenging, and yes, abrasive in thier communication. When he started a thread or posted, I read, learned, posted in a time or two and cringed when myself and others disagreed with him. He is still missed.
who wants Mike G back on Lawnsite? He was banned.
Sean.... Is this an official Lawn Site Poll?
Does he want to come back to this forum?
Clearly he was banned for some pretty good reasons. I know of another, private forum where he was banned for similar reasons. He was then re-invited back into the fold, and then promptly disregarded the rules of that forum all over again. Result = banned again.
I have never met the man personally, and I know he does have a strong background, understanding of the industry and unique outlook. My only concern is the sometimes divisive nature of his participation and the overall negative energy that is spread through out.
Shouldn't we all work together at promoting and supporting this industry rather then knocking and berating those who are working so hard to make a go of it?
Have a great day.
I think his info was top notch. While there will always be disagreements in sales styles and such I think he brought up some very valid points. Just because some people (myself included) cant agree with 100% of what every person has to say is no reason to ban people.
As I've stated before, I believe he is already among us so there is really no need to keep up the charade. As far as his coming back, let's just say it's best if I keep my comments to myself.
I feel He has alot to offer. I feel he should be able to post. If he has issues or disagreements with anyone or any topic like the rest of us, we should take it private. It should not be a ego battle or who won. That said it is the fault of those who are thin skinned to try and defend when no defense is needed. Dont start anything.
I dont think the Moderators will let him back in here but I wanted a census.
He would be an asset and maybe tone it down a bit and only post with respect for others.
