Does anyone have a software program which will take multiple mixed up addresses, and map out a route for you? Maybe I provide the starting point.

I wonder what Fed-Ex and UPS use, they have many different stops each day and seem to have very tight and efficient routes.

I was wondering if there is something better than mapquest.

If you do, what is the name of it.

    Mucho gracious.

UPS and FEDEX have trucks in a fixed area. Their route is usually different every day. I am not sure if they use software, but I believe they have GPS in all the trucks.

there are several programs that have mapping add-ons. You could always buy Mappoint or MS streets and trips. Punch in all your addresses and it will sort. You can break down by area by hand and then put in each days addresses and it will come up with the route. Don't forget to put your shop as the start and finish.

To answer your question no. What I did last yr. was make a grid of the city. I then made the route to run in as much of a circle as possible, bringing me back to the beginning. Hope this might help, Tony
