I have a scag with a Kawasaki FD 731v 26hp/ lc engine. I thought it was running slow, so put a tiny tach on it and found about 3300rpm. Manual says high idle is 3600. How do I adjust the speed?

    Jkingrph,

Adjust low speed idle first then high speed. Here are the steps:

Set it to 3750. This way it should run at 3600 under a reasonable load.

Took this and it does not look anything like my set up. I admit the air cleaner, back of mower frame makes it hard to see, but I can only find an adjusting screw on low idle stop.
