Rustic Pillars

    Customer wanted some rustic stone pillars, do you think we achieved the right look? They will get signs in the front of each w/ name and address and a light on the top of each.
    Guess how much a 14 ton load of this stone cost us. I'll give the answer after a few guesses. I was shocked

    Looks great! Most of those I have seen are thinner Penn fieldstone so it's nice to see something different.

    My guess for the 14 ton would be 1400.00

    240 a ton and why the hell would you buy 14 tons for just that?

    We actually bought 28 tons because along with the pillars we are building 2 other walls out of it....I'll be surprised if that's enough for the size of the walls but we'll see.
    Price wise you're getting closer but nope. The stone came from the woods off of old farm walls.

    Well, apparently no one else wants to take a guess
    $330 per ton
    Every stone was brought out of the woods with a skidder and loaded into a truck. Very labor intensive. It took 15 minutes in and 15 minutes out for one buckets worth
