Looks good! Did you ever do anything with those GMC 6500's you bought a couple years ago? Or are they still dedicated plow trucks?

I bought the plow through my dealer and what I got is what you see. My dealer can weld it up but I gave the business to my neighbor to do that part and the truck is now at the dealer getting wired up for the plow and spreader.

I actually sold one of the 6500's today but still have the other. The truck needed a fair bit of work. I got it cheap, made my money and passed it on to someone who wanted it more than I did. It's being replaced with this International we're building to double as both a plow truck and a production truck.

The new truck looks good, I really like the plow mount, it looks strong. The only thing I don't really care for is the bumper though. I know you had to mount it in front of the plow mount, and that part doesn't look bad. The part that doesn't look right is where the bumper lines up with the front fender. Couldn't you go buy a damaged bumper and have them cut out a section and splice a section into your existing bumper so the bumper and fender line up on the wheel well opening? Just a thought, but the truck does look really nice. Congrats

Thats too much time and money for something 99% of people won't notice.

If he removes plow mount in the summer that will cause another problem

I thought the plow mount was welded on, if he has already spent the amount of money that he has, what is another couple hundred backs. It was just an idea though.

It's a minor detail, one that doesn't concern me. The bigger point is that the truck is purpose built. Just waiting on my boxes!

Will you be doing a stand alone spreader body or strapping a vbox down in one?

Some of our winter work and setup. Most of the trucks are there, a few didn't make the picture. If you're debating what plow to buy, I really like the BOSS setup and it's simplicity.
