They take a threaded rod and screw it into the air can.......then you tighten down a nut on the outside of the can that pulls the threaded rod out. While pulling that rod out it is pulling inside the can and releasing the spring brakes.......make sense?

wow those willows are dead, we would normally move one that size with an overdug 50" ball at the least preferably we'd pop them in w/ the truck. willows don't respond well at all, keep them soaked is all i can say

I did not supply trees and the architect is well aware of the risk. Access by truck was not possible without building a road and the homeowner did not want a portion of the field destroyed in order to do that. Wait'n for March and keeping fingers crossed.

BTW.......they were only $125 + shipping......guy that dug them doesn't know what he is doing.

best of luck, i just hate to see material die. I'm not a hippie, but its just a waste of life. we normally go w/ the 10" of ball to 1" cal. rule around here, but a lot of landscapers don't like big balls because their tractors cant handle the weight. go big or go home, oh and sorry about the trucks man... i've had 3 go out in a day before... causes problems.
