Have a client with, super thin yard and a ton of weeds, 70% 30% yard seventy weeds, at some point need over seed, etc. For now thinking a good three way, will take this one a couple of seasons! Any comments that are helpful would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

And the reason for the thinnness--fix the problem first. Lack of water in hot weather is likely.
In any case hit it with crab preventer twice at 8 week intervals--max rate allowed. Then do essentially the same with herbicide. If you hit the maximum of 2,4-D...switch to another product and go after the weeds in late summer and fall.

Feed it steadily with a product that is high in slow release nitrogen. You will probably have to postpone treatments until rain or expected rain.

Plan to overseed in late Aug--or--when temps come down to about 80
Use top quality seed--say Lesco Athletic blend or better.

RigglePLC, Thanks for your opinion. This lawn has had no care for a very long time, all of the above problems. Thanks again.
