The manual says either are acceptable. Which is best? I live in DFW, TX area. Plenty of 100 degree days in the summer.

Amsoil ACD is best (in my opinion and you know what they say about opinions? They are like azz holes, everybody has one). It is a 10W-30 and straight 30WT. It is also a TRUE POA Synthetic and stands up to extreme heat much better than any conventional oil ever could. These small air cooled engines run very hot and chew up regular oil very quickly when it is hot out.

How can it be both a SAE30 and 10W-30?

Ok that is for diesel engines though.

    Here is their oil list:

One is straight 30 and they have another that is 10w-30

I like to run 10W-40 in small engines.

The true synthetic base stock is so good that it qualifies for both grades (it has no viscosity index modifiers). Diesel oil is better for small dirty air cooled engines anyway. It has higher amounts of ZDDP and more detergents because diesels are dirty engines making it a great oil for dirty little hot running air cooled engines.

Plus rotella, delo and delvac are diesel oils but they work great in all engines.
