Just starting here in Florida and I saw on some other threads that some other states dont require you to charge sales tax on services only materials sold. What is the law in FL? do you charge for sales tax on mowing, trimming etc? And if so are there any tricks of the trade to doing or avoiding so? Any other input would be great!

The rule as explained to me by my book keeper is that there is no tax on a job where just labor is performed. But once one peice of material, and or parts is included into the job then all labor and material become taxable. good luck just take it slow and steady and you will get there.
