i was wondering do i need to collect tax for cleanups? (snow removal and leaves)

i understand that you have to collect sales tax on any service performed to maintain the property, but i found an explanation about what services have to be taxed and snow removal and leaf cleanup werent included.

btw i have been charging tax for these services

here is all about sales tax in new jersey for landscapers

By registering you mean the "Home Improvement contractors license"?

i did..i got my certificate of authority to charge sales tax...let me look at it again to see if it says anything...even though sicnj summed it up

and like it says in the link i provided in the first post...basically everything is taxable unless it is a capital improvement to the property..which would be retaining walls, pavers, etc

    thanks guys
