I have a sand point well that I would like to be able to use for lawn sprinkling (hoses & sprinklers, not automatic). My problem is using a 1/2 hp lawn sprinkler pump with a 1-1/4 pipe down about 16ft, I can only pull about 2-1/2 GPM from the pump and it's not enough to operate even a basic sprinkler. Is there anything I can do to overcome this without having to start over? Possibly a shallow well jet pump with a tank? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

If your pump is a centrifugal pump you can go deeper(20-22') final depth. We've had luck with several sand points(10 ' apart) on a single pump. Of coarse the type of soil has a lot to do with it. I'm pumping about 35 gpm @ 60# pressure with two points using a 2 hp centrifugal pump. Lloiyd
