sandy soil??

    i live in northern ky and the soil is descent .. i have a new account that was a ball park and his soil has all that baseball feild dirt lots of sand . we have had alot of rain so it has not dried up yet i need to know what type of grass {fescue } that will do well ,,,topsoil is not a option as he has nt the funds now any suggestoins about this soil

    I'd consider a turf type Tall Fescue. I saw some research papers that showed a Tall Fescue with a root depth of over 6 feet. With an extensive root system like that I think it would do well in your sandy soil.

    Tall fescue will give you better drought tolerance.
