People compare turf tiger prices with other mowers an think the turf tiger is over priced. The turf tiger is scag's top level zero turn. You have to compare prices with other Brandt's top tier ztr's. the turf tiger's basic design has not changed in 15 years. That's because it's proven.

It's a bit big for my uses but I'm keeping it. Bottom line is Toro is better than scag

None, and I'm not saying they are a bad machine. Quit drinking cool aid. Other mowers exist. Toro and exmark have the large majority of the industry for a reason, these smaller outfits make up an extremely small portion for a reason!

I would not consider a scag a smaller outfit. Many of the benefits to owning a scag are in the longevity. I have been a scag owner since 1996. You just keep drinking your red mower kook-aid

The fact is Scag and Toro/Exmark both make great machines. But you have to know the differences. The Scag Velocity deck cuts amazing in just about any condition, especially wet thick grass, its an open deck design. But at times the longer clippings can carpet the top of the turf and you may have to blow them. The Turbo Force/Ultra Cut decks are very tightly baffled decks that excel in dry ideal conditions, but suffer greatly in most adverse conditions. Causing clumping and the need to double cut.

The Scag TT is a large industrial quality machine that can go 5000+ hours. The design has been around a very long time. Some call it outdated but its a proven winner. The Scag Cheetah is a state of the art machine made for comfort and speed.

We have a few scag turf tigers and a few exmark lazers X series. both are great machines. I think the exmark does stripe a little better and does extremely well in dry conditions, but is terrible in the wet, another thing we have are a few 48 turbo force deck walk behinds with the adjustable baffle. The adjustable baffle really stepped up the game for toro on cut quality and they hardly clump when wet. Still, the turf tiger can cut in both wet and dry conditions well, but doesnt have one where it does exceptionally well IMO.
