If you go to a Scag dealer you will pay 3 times the price than a auto parts store will sell it for.
Just take the battery to the auto store they will sell you one for about 25-35 dollars.

Mine came with a Douglas, when I replace it, it will probably be with an Interstate. Most any parts stor should have the size and post position you need.

Buy a reputable one that has the highest CCA you can that fits the battery size/tray for the lawnmower config and forget it-Whether it's a napa, deka, interstate, diehard, or staab manufactured batter they all use the same technology, and you will find as many brand followers here as with Chevy and Ford, or dodge.

You should be able to use an Interstate SP-30 or SP-40. This will depend on the recomended CCA of the existing battery.
