We are thinking about buying two 61" Scag Cheetahs with either the Kawasaki 850FX or Kawasaki 921FX.

    What would you go with?

I'm not 100% sure we are going with Scag, we are going to look at Gravely also.

Btw, Scag has a fleet plan, we would get the two for $17k.

I think Gravely has something similar but not sure.

We did demo the Scag twice and everyone liked it. Called the Gravely dealer and they won't have a demo until spring.

Not sure I want to wait until spring so we may just go with Scag.

I wanted the Kawasaki engine but i guess they arent allowed to sell them in CA. We ended up getting the 36hp Vanguard. Works great, its a 61"

So, you have a cheetah? If so how many hours, any problems so far?

You might want to look at the 34 kohler. It's better on gas that the kaws. I used a 61 for about 2 weeks and averaged about 1.7 gph.

Be glad you got the Vanguard, it is the best gasoline engine in the zero turn market, and yes I am saying that after just buying a new 72" Hustler Super Z with the Kawasaki FX1000V 35 hp engine.
