I have a scag tiger cub and it seems that the hour meter is off. It should only have about 10 hours on it and it says it has 64 hours. I did leave the key on the on position for a couple of days and it ran my battery down, I am assuming that is problem.

Can any one tell me if they seem to have the same problem

The hour meters run constantly if the key isnt in the off position.

Same thing has happened with my Gravely. For some unknown reason, I turned the key back on after killing the engine. I "added" 60 hours by the time I got back on the mower again.

Just a suggestion, make yourself pull the key out of ignition for about 2 months of usage. That should get you in the habit of keeping the ignition off.

SCAG is about the only one that wires their hourmeters that way. Heard lots of stories on this.

My new Hustler only ticks when your sitting on the seat!

So the hour meter on the Hustler doesn't mean engine run time hrs, its more for how long someone sat in the seat?

Exactly what I do. I don't care if I wear out the switch.
I also pull the key when I transport them.
