Please, I need some help before I do something stupid.
I am going to tryout a used SCAG 3WHEELER model ST 13K tonight, and would like to know any pros or cons about this model. It is a one owner unit used only to mow the owners big yard. Don't know how many hours are on it yet. $1000 will buy it. Any help would be appreciated.

one thing to consider is the scag support in our area. I live in springfield and I only now of three scag mowers being used. And those individuals I think would rather own something else. You might want to consider this also I have not seen anyone using a bull horn rider in a atleast 5 years.

You might want to go and see if you can find a good used D/C!

it sounds like a mower w two hydralic drive wheels and a single back wheel with front cut. if thats it ,check the little things ,shake spindles ,inspect belts ,and or chains if it has any.
if it seems alright and no black or white smoke(,check cut )
    absolutely .
ps you know if he is smart he will crank it half hr before you get there.but it dont sound like a bad gamble.

This is an old scag, no hydros, vertical shaft 13.5 hp kawasaki. I have bought new house with way too many bushes, shrubs, flower beds & trees so an out front deck would be nice. Just can't find many in this area. I also need to stay in the 48" range to cut down on push mower time. I have found one USED 52" SD Walker but I think it is over priced. Thougt this scag might do for awhile, if it has no major flaws, until I can find something better.
