I need help in solving a starting issue with my 2011 Scag Turf Tiger 61" deck 35 hp air cooled Briggs . I can here the click to engage when I turn the key over but the motor does not turn. IO can direct connect from the starter to turn engine but nothing else. This has been an on and off issue for this mower since new.. I have about 26 hrs on it...I think it is in a switch or fuse but I do not know for sure. It is 2 years old with very light use . Any suggestions?:dizzy:

Its most likely a switch. When it does not turn over you can bypass the lever switch one by one and then the parking brake switch. Just use a jumper wire after you unplug it.

Parking brake is the lever on the left below the steering lever. You should need to use this lever everytime you get on or off the mower or it shuts off the mower when running.

Yes I just went out and you are correct . I just visualized a foot pedal..Anyway there is a hard twist in the wire harness about 4 inches back from the connector to the brake sensor could there be a fused fried line underneath the woven insulation? and exactly how do i bypass the brake sensor

Only 2 fuses on that mower which is located between the seat and gauge panel. You can check them, they are 20amp fuses.

To bypass a switch on the scag all you need is a paperclip. Unplug the sensor and put the paperclip in each slot to connect the wires.
