I was looking at getting a Scag Tiger Cub 48" for next season and i had a few questions...
    1. Does the 19 H/P Kawi have enough power?
    2. How do you like it in general; any serious cons?
    3. What do they usually go for?

Any input would be great... Thanks

I have a tiger cub, 48'' deck with a 20hp kohler. I think the 19hp will be ok, Ive been well peased with my machine, Ive replaced the deck belt 2 times and 1 hydro belt. And 1 deck spring broke this year. My mower has 950 hours on it and 1 of the deck belts failed because of operator failure(operator stupidity---me).
Overall I wouldnt hesitaste to purchase another.

As far as price, Im not sure, I havent checked lately but I think somewhere in the 6300-6500 range, that should be a good guess

We have a 19HP kaw 48" Scag TC. The Kaw is a very good, dependable engine in my experience. The 19HP has a lot of torque, its a more than ample power plant for this machine. The Tiger Cub leaves a superb cut IMO but does ride a tad on the rough side compared to the suspension seat on the Turf Tiger.

I have a Tiger Cub (2004), 48 with a 19 Kawasaki. It has plenty of power and has held up well. I think they are around $6500 but the 07 prices might change. This is our second Tiger Cub we sold our 2003 at the beginning of the year. We sold it to upgrade to a Turf Tiger. We replace one blade clutch on the 2003, a few belts, idler pulley and a few springs between the two mowers.

We just priced one with a tiger cub 19hp 48" cut at 6300. Trying to decide between it and a Wildcat 26hp liquid kaw. with a 60" deck at 8000.
