Were the sparkplugs fouled.??? Air filter clogged.???
    Check the compression...

Plugs are no fouled. Cleaned air filter an compression was 145 psi in both cylinders

Hmmm...the plugs usually get fouled when the engine smokes..
Check the fuel filter for water..

Replaced the filter drained the fuel tank and blew out the lines.I'm thinking its carburetor or the spark plugs aren't firing at the correct time

It only has to backfire once to shear the flywheel key..

Remove the valve covers and make sure the rocker arms are moving...
You can still read compression with a pushrod off...
If the valves are moving....remove the flywheel ...key prolly sheared...
