I have a Scag 48'' fixed deck gear drive walkbehind. I dont use this mower much because of the pistol grips and that it scalps some and the deck will drag also. The deck dragging on un-even ground has caused me to eat the handle bars 2-3 times.
This mower has 3 mounting positions for the deck. Currently it is in the middle set of holes. Has anyone here ever raised there decks up the highest setting? Did it effect the cut, vacumn, or discharge of the clippings?
If I could get this situation better my next step is too play with the linkage some on the grips so I dont have to squeeze them so far before the mower turns. Thanx for any replies
