I just bought a Scag 36" WB fixed deck.

I like to cut around 3 1/2 inches but wanted some help on the setup.

I have the advantage deck and it is still factory set the middle range.

The rear of the deck is at the Highest point.

I have 2 spacers above the blades.(2 under spindle)(3 on top of spindle)

I have 3 spacers on the front wheels.(3 under frame) (1 over frame)

I just want to keep the pitch right and have a nice cut.

I have read in the manual that 3 spacers above the blades(below spindle) is best for suction and discharge.

What is the best way to raise or lower the deck if I get an evergrown yard? Blade spacers or front wheel spacers?

Same question if I need to lower the deck.

I really don't want to mess with the rear of the deck. pain in the butt if I am in a hurry.

Thanks for any help with setup on my new mower.

Unfortunately fixed deck aren't easy to change.....I usually set the back part of deck in the middle bolt settings. I then use the shims to raise or lower the height. I never messed with the shims under the deck....think my floating deck has one and I never changed that.
