Ok not sure if this is a question that can be answered without a picture. I have a lawn that has a dececent slope. Ive been mowing it with a 21" and my first time i was probably set at 2.5 inches and i scalped it. So i set it up to 2.75 inches and i did fine. Ive been mowing it top to bottom and diagnal. If i want to try this with a 48" bunton w/b at 3" will i scalp at the top due to mower length? Or do you have any suggestions to not scalp it ( like direction or height?) I dont think i can do the crest of the slope going side to side anyway because it wont make the curve worth a ****. Any help would be appreciated.

IF you mow it at 3'' it will be fine either way you go.
