Went to the new Lowes hardware in town to buy some Scott's Starter Fert. All they had were 1,000 sq. ft. bags for $5.97/bag. I thought it was a pricing error. This has to be a joke. To cover 15,000 sq. ft., you'd be dumping about $90 just for fertilizer. Went next door to Wally World and got a 5,000 sq. ft. bag for $11.97. Later discovered that my supplier of fert. carries 5,000 sq. ft. of starter fert. for $7.50. Pays to shop around.

$1/1000 is a good rule of thumb for starter.

I can only imagine the analysis/bag size of a 1000 sq/ft bag of fertilizer.

It's time to find a wholesale source for your fertilizer needs. Commercial applicators don't need to patronize retail establishments if they can avoid it.

I do have a wholesale dist. but I didn't feel like driving 40 min. roundtrip to pick up a 5000 sq. ft. bag of fertilizer. Plus, rain was looming in the distant, so I was in a rush to get the fertilizer down.
