Well, I have been posting on here quite often about needing to get a new mower.

Here is what I have decided on. I am going to get a Husqvarna demo mower. It has 25-30 hrs on it. Its the WHF4818, an extremely nice mower. It is a hydro, with ETS (works very well, I demoed it for several days and is better than the ECS I have used from eXmark, which I have also demod). It also had a nicer cut than the eXmark, but it was not a fair test since the Husqvarna was a 48" and the eXmark was a 36". It has a floating deck and the height adjustment takes 5 seconds, literally! It also had maintanence free spindles (though I have been told the industry is going back to greasable ones), electric start, and an electric PTO. It is also equiped with a mulch kit that works well and a Kawasaki 18 hp twin cyclinder engine.

Now, the only reason I can get it is because its a $3500 demo, with a proslide for free haha! I can't believe this. I feel very blessed! Full warrenty and all that too. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions over the past month or two.

If its the homeowner model it shouldn't be but $1999.99 brand new. I too looked at this mower. I did not buy it due to the fact that yes, it is a hydro, BUT the wheels are not independenly controlled which means it has to be manually steered and turned.....it only had a 13 hp motor, not really enough motor for a velke let alone a proslide. The Exmark is what I bought and I have found it to be a far superior machine now that I am efficeint with it. Make sure before you buy.................

It's not a Homeowner Model...& the Wheels are Independently Controlled w/twin hydro Pumps & Wheel Motors...The entire Mowers construction Looks to be on Par w/eXmark...

& the Height Adjust is the Best in the Industry!

    ...I demoed the 42"...Very Impressed!

    Fareway,
I like the gas can rig up there. Did you do that yourself?

What 42" mower did you demo? I could use a 42" walkbehind but didn't think there was such a machine...

42"/17hp Kaw. Husquarvana Hydro...Uses Same Carrier Frame as the 48" but has a 3 Blade Chamber 42" Deck...Very Nice Unit...The only thing I didn't like was the amount of Space Between the Drive Wheels And Deck because of the crossover Carrier Frame...But You could Mount the 42" Deck Mounted Husky ZTR Stripe Roller There.....

Here's the Best Height Adjust for a Walk in the Industry!

The Cut is sweet, you can barely see where the machine ran.

I looked hard at a Husqvarna, but the ECS controls I preffered over the Husqy's, go figure.
