We had a half-inch of rain this week. Crabgrass is still going strong. I am not sure if any of the original new seed is still present.

After 18 weeks and a recent ten day dry spell. No irrigation. Still mostly crabgrass and the trees look poor. However we had 2 inches of rain about 6 hours before photo was taken. Day temps still about 85. Fourth young red maple tree, around behind the house, was dead.

Good at first during rainy spring, but seldom irrigated. Appears to be 99 percent crabgrass now, 19 weeks later. Mostly dry this week. Temp 78 now, 49 last night.
Waiting for fall and frost to see if there is any actual grass remaining. A similar job about a block away looks about the same. Neither are owner-occupied.

This lawn looked like it was never seeded originally. Not sure if house was sold --its about 3 years old. See the last picture from my post of May 30, 2012.
I saw a lawn care treatment sign. What the heck? Next week it was brown. Next week equipment was prepping soil for redo job. Sandy--poor soil. It has some kind of inadequate irrigation system--I think. Some seed is coming up, particularly where rain washed seed into low spots.

Are you saying that they've reworked it and trying again???

No, this green house is a different house nearby. Sorry for the confusion.
This green house with the bare dirt is about 3 years old, and was probably resold. The lawn looked like it had been mowed occasionally but never seeded with grass.
This is the original photo; green house, the development's worst lawn.

Now, this green house lawn has been professionally killed, scrapped up and reseeded. Sandy soil, but at least the season was right for a reseed project.
House has no brick and is an olive green. No stop sign.

Here is the lawn 20 weeks after hydro-seeding. Hot summer, almost no watering. We had about three tenths inch of rain in last week. The maple trees look near death, and the one on the far right background appears to be dead. Grass appears to be mostly crabgrass (which is looking rather brown). We expect a temp of 41 tonight. Sandy soil. Low fertility.

Hydroseeded April 26 2012, almost no watering; crabgrass became intense during hot spell, but now mostly brown due to 39 degree temp on Sept 24. Light rain fell in last few days--lawns in background fairly green.
