    What does prep work entail? You also have to figure in the $$ of the grass seed.

    I would charge somewhere in the neighborhood of $30 - $40 an hour, plus materials, plus time to get materials, so
    Materials = $60
    Labor = $40/ hr (maybe an hour?)
    Time to get materials = $20
    so . . .
    Total = $120

    This is a really rough estimate

    I'm coming up with $400, or $.80 per foot.
    -till the entire area
    - add a light dusting of lime
    -add a 2" layer of new 70/30 mix topsoil, and level
    -liberal seeding
    -cover with peat

    plus all transportation fees, time/labor.

    I would say $350 to $450. 30 and 40 an hour is WAYYYYY to cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You shold be getting 65-90 an hour.

    the 65-90 rate...does it depend on size and/or access issues? You throw expenses on top of the rate?

    Im just saying period anything sholud be based on that if you do hourly. I dont do hourly though. You can make 4X that by not doing houlry, especially with sod.
