Hello i got a honda hrr 21" self propelled residential class mower.
Yesterday i was mowing and the self propelled mechanism gave out. the wheels will not spin backwards either. i jacked the mower up and was unable to see what the problem was. does anyone have any ideas?
    thanks so much

Never owned a honda, start with checking the belt, cable that ingauges the self propelled might be worn

Get me the serial number (MXXX-1234567) off the back of the mower deck, and I'll look up the service/troubleshooting procedure for you...

That's the model number; I need the serial number, it's on a sticker on the back and looks like this:

    MXXX-1234567

I need that number 'cause there are two types of SmartDrive transmissions on that model, and want to get you the right documents.

While you're looking for the serial number, take a quick peek at the cable. Sounds like it might have come out of adjustment, broken, seized, etc. Just a guess.
