I thinking about selling out at the end of the season and was looking for opinions about the procedure. I've done the search and found many differences in opinions about selling the accounts. My personal feeling is that the business is worth two months mowing income plus equipment. (To me its worth a lot more, but I need a market value) These have mostly been my customers for about five years, but I am graduating business school and applying to law school for next year.

Anybody ever bought or sold accounts? how did it work out?

This seems to a subject that no one can actually agree on.

BTW, I do agree with you about your business being worth more than 2 months revenue. I have been at this game 11 years full time now (with employees) and I would be damned to only get 2 months of revenue from my sweat equity and hard work.

No, I have never bought or sold accounts btw.
