Does anyone sell firewood in the winter to make extra money.? I noticed most of the landscape suppliers carry firewood in my area (denver).

I tried it one year and thought it was more of a pain in the ars then it was worth. People knocking on the door at all hours, having to keep wood dry, constantly splitting then delivering. Not to mention the mess you end up having after splitting all the wood.

Yes there is SOME money in it but not enough for the hassle.

To make any real money from it, ya need to also be getting paid to cut the tree down in the first place.

I sell about 10 cord a year at $200 a cord. I pile up the wood from tree removal jobs i did through the year and sell it in the fall. But i wouldnt do it unless i was paid to remove the trees.

Well cant blame ya for wanting to get rid of it. God forbid ya have to move it out of your way, that would suck.
