A BLOWER?! We we driving away from a complex today and were about nineteen seconds off the property when I got the phone call. Some lady is claiming my guys were blowing around her car and blew a rock onto her car and cracked her windshield.

I have asked a long time lawn veteran and he basically laughed when I told him about it. Yes, we use 802's and an 854 that blow pretty hard, but come on. The velocity of the air drops so much so fast that I just can not imagine a scenario where it could be possible.

So I figured I'd ask the world. Well?

That would be crazy odds. I don't think I could do that if I tried.

Did you see the busted glass and did it look possible?

I'm really trying to be reasonable about it and think of a way it would be possible.

I just don't see it happening. I mean, as hard as those things blow, the brunt of their force is focused five to ten feet away from the use and even then the velocity the air has is WAY lower at that point then it is when it comes out of the tube.

I am sure there is a physics equation somewhere that would dispel this as a possibility.

No, they waited until we left. They had plenty of time to address it with us before we took off, but I was so dumbfounded when I got the call that I didn't really seriously consider looking at it. The entire premise seemed off.

I really want to know if anyone has even heard of such a thing, or if I should call Guinness.

Damn, looks like my windshield is cracked and I don't have glass coverage. Hmmm, the lawn guy comes around every week, why not blame it on him and get him to pay.

Sounds odd, doesn't seem to really be possible, even with powerful blowers. Maybe it was slightly cracked and a rock just hit it right.....but even hen the chances are low....

Once on a narrow road where we had to do the fall clean ups on the embankments. The speed limit was 25 but this witch was doing double that and had to slam on her breaks after nearly jumping the top of a hill blind. So she pulls along side me and goes off and brings up the previous year and said we broke her windshield last fall. Course we have never heard about it because she was full of crap and no way someone that uppity would not have stopped had we done that. But it didn't stop her from lying about it. I raised my voice and she sped off and iv never heard about that again.

Turn it over to Insurance let them figure it out

One time I got blame hitting a windshield putting a hole in it size of a baseball The owner could not prove a rock did it Since the rock they had wasn't same size as the hole So I turned over to Insurance they look in to it I found out it was a baseball hole was same size as a baseball
I didn't have to pay a thing The owner and my Insurance company went to court over it and Owner lost

Haha, sounds like a story I heard way back when I was mowing with my dad. Except it was with a weed wacker and a little piece of broken asphalt that supposedly hit the side of the car and made a huge dent. The property we were doing didn't have any small rocks in the grass. My dad looked at the guy and laughed at him.

I would have to agree, best to turn it over to the insurance and let them deal with it.
