I have a Shindaiwa T-230 trimmer that always ran great until this past month. It starts fine when cold, but after running it a while, re-starting is imposible until it cools[about an hour later].
    Can anyone help? thanks, Joe

90 % of the time, when an engine does this, I have found the problem to be electrical, usually a bad coil.

As the heat rises, conductance degreases. In a faulty part, it may just no be able to give you the hot spark you need to get started.

It may be totally different in your case, but I went through three coils on my lawn boy for that reason.

I agree - also try the spark plug. I've had this same problem with the T-230s and found it is sometimes the spark plug
