Which one of these Shindaiwa models for a hedge trimmer would you say is Better? Is the c4 technology worth it?

The C4 engines are higher torq, so while they do not sound like they are running as good as a 2 cycle, when you go to something that needs power to cut through things like shrubs, then a C4 would most likely be your better pick here.

So would the normal model be a better choice then for hedges that wouldn't require a lot of heavy duty maintenance?

The C4 will give you more power and is just a bigger hedge trimmer but as far as reliability the 2 cycle Shindaiwas are great and if your not doing non stop hedge trimming all the time then the 231 should be fine. I debated on getting the T2510 Trimmer but I didn't need that much power so I run the T242.
