anybody own both of these what kind of power difference is there. Also, who has the shindiawa multi-tool are there any complaints or likes either one would be great. Also, how does the m2500 hold up to a 260

I own a M2510 (an m2500 w/a new carb), a T261, and a T231. they stack up like this for me. best, M2510, great power to weight ratio, and exellent tourque. pretty good, T261, heavier than the M2510 and with a little less tourque but still a very good machine. ok, T231, pretty light but needs WAY more power. this trimmer gets left at home most of the time.

there is a world of difference between the multi tool and the two cycle engines. I think that the hybrid has better throttle control too.

    I have the M230, M2500 and T-260..

This is how I rank them in order of power starting from the weakest to strongest ..

    M230
    M2500
    T-260

On a multi-attachment tool, the m2500 is better of course then the m230

you think that the 260 is more powerfull than the m2510? I find that the 260 has a lot less tourque than the 2510.

alpine, do you have the260 or the 261? if you have the 260 it may very well be more powerfull than the 2500.

I heard that when shindaiwa had to switch from making the regular trimmer to the ones with a catalytic converter they lost a lot of their power.

Yah, I have the T-260 .. that has tremendous amounts of power!

I can tell it has like 2 x the amount of power then M250, it was so powerful that I ordered 2 more T-260's exactly like that!

how did you get them? they can't legally sell them any more.

wow, those carb tier whatever regulations have really taken a lot of power out of the trimmers. the 231 is gutless compared to the multi tool and the 261 has about the same power.
