I bought a T2500 weedeater off of Ebay. Supposedly had less than 6 hrs use. It looked more worn to me. I had a problem with the head refusing to stop spinning with low idle. I checked the clutch and the spring seems to be too loose. A question though, the clutch was metal only without a pad on it like on my Tanaka. Does that mean the pad is worn off or are shindaiwa clutches metal only? I couldn't find any evidence that a pad was ever attached.

do know if the clutch has the padding but the part # is 62901-51021 check your idle that not set to high will cause to spin

I talked to Shind tech and he found it was supposed to have a fiber pad. The clutch was totally gone. I will just have to replace it.The drum still seems to be ok. iT doesn't seem galled. Thanks for the part number.
