I'm open-minded, but I thought zero turn mowers were the best.

If you have the budget I'd def get a new homeowner grade or a used commercial grade zero turn. I wouldn't even cut my own lawn if I had to use a lawn tractor. Check craigslist some for exmark, scag, or hustler and you should find some deals depending on your area. Btw are you in the southeast?

Yes, I am in Alabama. Definitely think I want a ZTR. There is an eXmark dealer 2 miles down the street that has the Quest for $3100, 42" cut. 22HP Kawasaki motor. I think that is the one I want, but I want to make sure I do my homework.

I have a 52" quest that is my main mower for now and it performs quite well, but I believe there are some differences with the less than 50" cut quests. The smaller quests have narrower rims and tires I believe and don't handle the slopes quite as well. This mower does GREAT up and down hill, but I cannot speak for the performance of the smaller quest's. What is your yard like?

My quest has 103hrs on it and is doing great!

There is a slope on the left hand side of the property, but I don't think it is that steep.

Looks like you should be fine. The type of yard you wouldn't want to use a z on is the one in the 3rd pic across the road on the right.

Yeah, that poor guy has been through hell with his house. All kinds of issues with the septic system -- probably should have never built on that lot.

I'm just sick of walking behind my 21" honda...gets to be a bear in the dead of summer down here in Alabama, especially in August.

It looks like your bagging the clippings. If so, I would just spend $2000 or less on a riding mower w/bagging setup and 48" deck.
