Do you want to get through in record time or in average time? A Hustler will get it done way faster, and leave a great cut. Walker is not built for speed, its a detail mower. It will give you the best cut. Do you need to bag everything? Or why not mulch? I think the price for that Walker is too high. Even though it has 100 hours, its still 4 years old. I wouldn't pay that much for it. That particular model brand new is under $7000.

I do not need to bag every time, and I dont want to, I would like the nicest cut in the quikest time.
    Thank you for the info.

The Walker is probably not for you.

With the Walker I would be able to bag when there are alot of leaves and when the grass gets thicker in spring. This is where I get confused about what mower to get , if I get Fastrak will mulching blades be ok for all year , what about in the fall with the leaves and in spring with thicker grass?

The FasTrak will mulch grass and leaves any time of the year, even in heavy growth and heavy leaves, it will "Excel".........
Just put a set of Gators on it and install the mulch kit.

    Hope this helps

for just an acre i'd say the walker is fast enough, and will give you great quality of cut.

Thank you for the responces, i was a little off on the price of this used walker, it is $5600.00 , sounds like alot for 98 model being the smaller size 16 hp, 42 inch deck(it has only 100 hours) with grass catching system.
Does anyone know how much I should be able to buy a new one of this size Walker with the grass catcher should be?

I just paid $11,500 for a 2002 Walker, 48" GHS, 9.5 bushel hopper with HD gearbox and a light kit as options. It has a Kohler 26 HP EFI twin cyl. V-twin engine, (sounds like a small Harley at idle).

    I love this mower.

You said you wanted to go fast, that's why I previously said the Walker is probably not for you. But you will get EXCELLENT quality of cut. You can always get the Walker and learn how to drive it then get the speed up kit for it. The speed up kit brings the MPH from 5.5 to almost 7.

The more I use my Walker the more I like it. Just put 4 more hours on it today.
