Should I Seed or Aerate First?

    I can't figure out which would be best. My friends have legitimate arguments for both. What do you guys suggest? Thanks

    Why would you seed first? That just doesnt make any since. You have to prepare the ground before you seed. That means, aerate it and tear it up. Once you have done that..........seed, fertilized and water.

    Christ this is a no brainer...you do all the prep then you seed, simple. :rolleyes:

    If you seed first, 1/2 the seed is going to get all over everywhere on the aerator and not as much will go on the lawn. Aerate first, seed and fert 2nd.
