I am taking my mower down to my fathers shop to be stored there for the winter. Should I add stabil with a full tank of gas run it for a few then store it. Or should i add stabil run it for a few then drain the gas?
    Thanks,
    Joe

Run the gas stabilizer long enough to mix it thru the whole system, then shut it off and turn off the fuel shut off. Draining the tank and running it till it dies can sometimes cause the seals to dry out in the carb and cause problems next season.

I run mine for roughly 5 min or so after I put in the additive. Then after it cools I pull the spark plug and put a teaspoon of oil in the cylinder and cycle it over a couple of times to coat the cylinder walls completely then put the plug back in.

Leave the fuel topped off. If I remember - I'll start the engines every 3 or 4 weeks for a few minutes. If I don't remember they start anyway.
