shrub removal time estimate?

    Pullin out 4 box woods about 4'x4' and 15 years old with about 4" round stumps, 5 arbovidas about the same dimentions.do not have any front en loader thing other than a chain saw,axes, and basic pry bars a pick up to pull out the stumps.customer wants to put one big bed in its place 17'x12'.estimated about $110.00
    in material and tiller rental could use some help??

    The arborvitae's shouldn't be too bad to yank out, they are very shallow rooted. The boxwoods are on the larger end of the spectrum, so they will take a little more, but it's do-able with what you have.

    Have you considered cutting them out, then grinding the stumps? That will be easier than digging them out, IMHO. Stump grinder rental around here is about $100 for 4 hours (Vermeer SG 252), which would be more than enough time to grind those out if it's not far from the rental yard.

    If you end up digging them out, you are probably looking at around 30-45 minutes per boxwood, slightly less for the arbs.

    i would charge 15 to 20 bucks a bush to get out. i could get all those out with my truck within an hour EASY.
